The newly-nominated District Chief Executive (DCE) by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for Ayensuano District in the Eastern Region Hon Josephine Awuku Ansaa Inkoom has got a touch confirmation with 100% endorsement by the various Assembly members and government appointees who had voted massively to confirm her on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.
Hon Josephine Awuku was in jubilation after the electoral commissionaire announced her 100 % endorsement. This seek a lot of attention in the house like most people thought, it was because he couldn’t attain a 100% endorsement score.
Addressing the gathering after his endorsement, Hon Josephine Awuku explained he was surprised by the huge 100% score he had thought she knew it is confirmed but wouldn’t be as huge as that and thanked the Assembly members and government appointees for their gesture.
She, therefore, pledged not to let her people down but do all to their hopes and expectations.” I pledged that I will not let anyone down; I will do all in my human capacity to live up to your hopes and expectations” she said.
She pointed out that he would make sure to continue all the community social intervention projects and programmes his predesuccesors had leftover.
She stated that he would prioritise job creations for the teaming unemployment in the area.
“If you look at the population, the youthy had dominated the population in Ghana for which majority of them do not have job to do. And that the Fanteakwa South District was not exempted from this national problem. So having appointed the DCE of the area I am going to operate an open-door policy by way not to sit at my office to wait for the people or youth to come and tell me their problems before l would look for alternative measures to solve them.
“But l am going to make that l go round within my district to find out what exactly the constituents want or need so after all these l would find means and ways to solve their problems accordingly,” she stressed.
According to her, the area is a farming area in which she will help mostly all the farmers around the district.
Following this development, the DCE assured that they would ensure how better they can make small scale mining activities more attractive to the youth in the area.
She asserted that the youth who are unemployed would be allowed to enrol in the community mining activities programme to help them make living.
She said he would also ensure that
the youth are giving employable skills which would give them (youths) opportunity to work in other government flagship programmes.
She said he would design a policy to ensure that the youths were giving job skills training programmes which would help to empower the youths to become responsible future leaders.
“I would ensure that the youths who are in the area would benefit from our projects and programmes,” she further assured.
