Chief laments over the low level of morals among Ghanaian youth

 

 

Nana Asare Kumi II, the Chief of Okorase near Koforidua in the Akuapem North Municipality of the Eastern Region, has bemoaned the recent low level of morals exhibited by some Ghanaian youth.

According to him, it is worrying to see moral standards dropping in the country in recent times and indicated that parents have a major responsibility to shaping the lives of their Wards.

Speaking to Kwaku Aboagye Apenteng on Freedom Radio’s ‘Yen Man’ show, on the recent killing of a mobile money agent, who is also a teacher in the area, he said, they’re making an effort to meet stakeholders which includes the Regional Minister.

He indicated that they are meeting to find possible ways to ensure that the unfortunate killing of the Mobile money agent does not occur ever again and that all criminals would be flashed out in the area.

He added, they as a community are putting up streetlights and going to commission a watchdog committee to protect and safeguard the lives of people in the area.
