Dr Sebastian Ngmenso Sandaare, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa Constituency has advised the government to take its time in executing the Agenda 111 projects.
‘’My advice to the President and the government is to take its time and gradually construct the hospitals in phases and I think that one is more realistic’’, he said.
He urged the government to tell the good people of this country what they can do, rather than engaging in propaganda, which is not helpful to the development of the country.
Dr Sandaare advised in an interview on Freedom Radio’s ‘’Yen Man’’ show hosted by Kwaku Aboagye Apenteng.
The MP who is also a member of the Committee on health at the Ghana Parliament said he was not sure the 111 hospitals can be completed within a year as speculated by the government.
‘’My reason is that, as we speaking we in parliament have not seen any agreement or contract on agenda 111, so the preliminary work to be done before the start of the projects have not started, so to me, it’s just a talk’’ he concluded.
He stated that since last year the government initiated the idea not even one was constructed, so he was not fully convinced that within one year all the 111 hospitals will be completed.
‘’We know the government has done so many sod cuttings in recent times, but we don’t see the infrastructure, so I’m appealing to the President to go by his words for the citizenry to see the actions’’ he indicated.
