The Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Local Development, Daniel Kweku Botwe has begun a three-day working tour of the Volta and Oti Regions today, Wednesday, 11 August 2021 with visits to the Ho municipality, Kpando, and Hohoe.
Mr. Botwe paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Archibald Yao Letsa, Ho Central Member of Parliament Benjamin Kpodo, and the Municipal Chief Executive Pi Bansa.
Mr. Letsa revealed that the Minister’s tour will take him to Ho, Kpando, Hohoe, Oti, and back to Ho on Friday.
Mr. Botwe said it is his first official visit outside Accra and was glad that he visited the region.
He made this known in a brief section with some heads of departments and the media in the Ho Municipality.
“My working visit is to inspect the ongoing projects and how they are being implemented in the respective regions,” Mr. Botwe said adding “Projects are based on assessment, and failure of projects will be the fault from the Assembly.”
He stated that governance is centered on the Local Government Acts and all residents must have access to information in the assembly.
