The Assembly Members of Okere District in the Eastern Region have confirmed Hon. Daniel Kenneth Addo, the President’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive(DCE).
All 30 Assembly Members present voted yes, representing 100% of the total vote cast.
Before his nomination and subsequent confirmation, Hon Kenneth was the District Chief Executive for the Assembly during the first administration of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana before his renomination.
The Election was conducted by the District Electoral Officer, Ms Theresa Carrey, following which Hon. Daniel Kenneth was officially sworn into office by the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Seth Kwame Acheampong.
In a brief statement after his confirmation, Hon. Kenneth thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for the trust reposed in him by nominating him to represent him in the district for the second time.
He also thanked the Local Government, Rural Development and Decentralization Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon Dan Kwaku Botwe, Eastern Regional Minister Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong, Traditional Authorities, Assembly Members, Staff and the general public for the love and support received in the past and expressed hope of an improved relationship between them going into his second term.
Others present at the event were NPP Regional and Constituency Executives, and the general public.
