A self-styled soldier has been busted by a security official at Obuasi in the Ashanti region.
The fake soldier was busted by a military official of the Ghana Armed Forces who officiate his duties in Obuasi.
According to our information, the self-styled officer beseeched a barbering salon on Monday, September 20, evening to trim down his hair.
The report says, upon reaching the saloon, he spotted ununiformed personnel in the saloon. As one of the many slogans in the security agencies, the self-acclaimed soldier who was looking for trouble shouted “Mando” to initiate a conversation with the uninformed officer of the Forces. The official of the army who sensed a foul play around the fake soldier pretended not to have any idea of what “Mando” means.
The official of the Army began to interrogate him asking him to identify his station, unit but he failed to mention his service number and name of his commanding officer.
The fake soldier, subsequently brought out some pictures and recruitments materials, trying so hard to convince the military official of his services to the Army.
The eyewitness said upon bringing out his materials, the military officer intercepted a military bag on him, including a rubber gun and other weapons, which propelled him to detain him.
A search was conducted in his house after he has been taken to the police station, a portrait of him in military attire, gun and other military materials were discovered.
He also revealed he has another house in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
The police have taken up the matter and are currently preparing him for court proceedings.
