The playing body of the Hasaacas Ladies Football Club and their management on 19th August 2021 visited and presented the trophies they won at the just ended WAFA Zone B tournament recently held at Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire and the Ghana FA and woman’s league.
Led by their management and team captain, Janet Adjei, the team thanked the National Youth Authority management for coming to their aid financially, in their time of need, as they were preparing for the West African Football Union (WAFU) tournament and said their victory can only urge them on to bring more glory to Ghana in November when the African edition is held.
Acting CEO and DCEO, Mr Nelson Owusu Ansah and Mrs Akosua Manu who received the team, took turns to welcome and congratulate them for their enviable achievement.
Mr Owusu Ansah commended Mrs Manu for her zeal and passion for women’s football and especially for Her instrumental role in securing the much-needed support for the seam. He said the Authority will continue to fulfil its mandate as the lead agency responsible for youth development saying sports is a vital component of youth development.
Mrs Manu also said the time has come for great importance to be attached to female sports since with little support they stood a chance of bringing great honours to the country.
She assured them that the doors of the Authority remain open and encouraged them to work hard and strive to win the ultimate at the continental edition.
