Two of the officers have been confirmed dead.

A statement issued by the police on Friday says the processes are underway to airlift the officers to Accra for further treatment.

The members of the police management board have also visited the families of the two officers who passed on to commiserate with them.

“The police administration wishes to thank the Ghana Armed Forces, particularly, the Chief of Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama and the Chief of Air Staff, Vice Marshall Frank Hanson, for their collaborative efforts in airlifting the injured personnel,” the police statement added.
