John Mahama will soon claim he carried Jesus Christ’s cross for him

Dr. Gideon Boako, the Vice President’s spokesman, has pooh-poohed the claims of former President John Dramani Mahama to be the initiator of the Free Senior High School (SHS) scheme.

It would not be shocking to him, due to the audacity of Mr. Mahama’s recent claims, to hear him confidently say that he (Mahama) supported Jesus Christ in bearing the cross while the latter was being led to his cruxification.

He questioned how when empirical evidence shows the opposition party when in government-funded the airing of over 40 advertisements against Free SHS, the NDC flagbearer can assert the program.

In reality, Mahama Ayariga, the NDC MP for Bawku Central, went to the Supreme Court to prevent President Akufo-Addo from enforcing the Free SHS Scheme. The NDC does not pressure us to remind Ghanaians of what they did to stop the Free SHS policy from being enforced. The Ghanaians have not forgotten; Mahama Ayariga was supported by the NDC to go to the Supreme Court to stop President Akufo-Addo from enforcing the Free SHS scheme.

“Some of Mr. Mahama’s comments are worrisome. Have you seen how on social media, Ghanaians are mocking him for claiming he began the Free Senior High School Policy? “People are even mocking him that very soon Mahama will say that he carried Jesus’ cross for him because he did it all,” he said.

John Dramani Mahama courted controversy when he said that the NDC government initiated the Free-SHS program in 2015.

He said the policy was poorly implemented by the current government, which forced them to follow the double-track system and when voted into office, he would dismantle it.

We have begun the curriculum and the NPP has come and continued it. The implementation, sadly, was very bad, and so it ended up on a double track. “Mr. Mahama stressed in Tuobong, a community in the Tempane District of the Upper East Region, “I assure you, my countrymen, that I will cancel the double-track within a year.

Commenting on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ Morning Show, Dr. Gideon Boako remembered how, after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-implementation Addo’s of the Free SHS policy in 2017, the former President said he would not spend 2 billion Cedis in the Free SHS policy if he had the funds.

Mahama complained that President Akufo-Addo used the allocated oil money of the country in order to enforce the Free SHS scheme, but he overlooked that those in the villages are part of the oil money. “You said the Free SHS policy was not possible until after 20 years,” he said.

To him, former President Mahama’s sudden reversal on the Free SHS policy is based on the fact that he will lose the 2020 general election by effectively enforcing the policy; hence his claim to have initiated it and promising to make it better when he returns to power.
