The nominee for the position of District chief executive for the Karaga, Iddrisu Mohammed Saani has pledged that should he be confirmed, he would work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop the area.
The nominee, who spoke to the media after a familiarization tour to inform the chiefs and people of the Karaga District of his nomination and to seek their blessings and guidance, said based on his experience of the developmental challenges facing the area, he will work closely with the stakeholders to transform the District.
He indicated, however, that though he cannot resolve all the developmental challenges of the District, he intends to leave a positive legacy after his tenure expires as DCE.
Iddrisu Mohamed added that he would work hard to making the President, Nana Akufo Addo proud. The nominee said he remained poised to hit the ground running by helping the Nana Addo led government achieve its targeted goals in the country.
“I am not someone who will want the challenges of the district to be explained to me because I am part of it and I know what it is, and in as much I cannot solve all the problems facing the District, I will make sure when I’m given the opportunity, at least I must leave a legacy. I have to make the government proud and I will make sure that the government will succeed, the NPP party and Nana Addo achieved the set goals for the country,” he stated.
The nominee visited several opinion leaders within the Karaga township, including the Karaga Chief, chief Imam of Karaga among others. The opinion leaders and chiefs expressed happiness over his nomination and assured him of their full support and guidance.
Meanwhile elected Assembly members of the Karaga District are assuring the nominee of a 100 per cent – come – September 29 which is the confirmation date.
Briefing Diamond News after a closed-door meeting, the presiding member of the Karaga District Assembly, Ziblem Sulemana, indicated that all the 48 assembly members have declared their intentions to confirm the DCE nominee after listening to his plans for the development of the area.
“He has spoken well in the cause of our meeting. He promised to continue the legacy of his predecessor to champion the cause of development of Karaga, hence all the assembly members have decided to give him a hundred per cent confirmation come 29th September 2021” he said.
