Kumasi: Two arrested over 15 cartons of unwholesome chicken parts

At least two people have been arrested after metro guards confiscated 15 cartons of unwholesome chicken parts at the Mbrom lorry station in Kumasi.

The arrest was made Friday afternoon after a woman is known only as Abiba was transporting the rotten chicken to Adankwame and Asuofia for sale.

The 30-year-old suspect led the police and environmental health officers to the Asafo Market to arrest a cold store operator who allegedly sold the items to her.

The spokesperson for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Henrietta Aboagye, who confirmed the development to Asaase News said the two suspects have been detained for further investigations.

Aboagye further cautioned the public to be wary of such products on the market.
