Manhunt for Louis Asante in murder of police woman in Damango
The Damongo Regional Police Command is calling on the general public to volunteer information of the whereabouts of Louis Asante popularly known as Dago, a student of Catholic Institute accused of the murder of a 26-year-old policewoman at Damango in the Savannah Region.

According to the Damage police, this heinous crime was suspected to have been committed by her boyfriend Louis Asante from Obuasi who visited her over the weekend.
The police accounts revealed that on Monday, August 2, 2021, at about 7:30 a.m., the landlord, one Mahama of H/No.An 11 in Damongo reported to the Regional Police headquarters that he perceived a strange smell from his tenant, Constable Sandra Asiedu.
The police proceeded to the scene of the crime and met the trapped door of the said Constable Sandra Asiedu locked from outside with a smell popping up from the room.
The door was then forced opened where Constable Sandra Asiedu was seen dressed in boxer shorts and a lady’s vest lying in a prone position dead with bloodstains all over her chest and neck.
The police said upon inspection, reveals deep bloodstains on the neck, and a kitchen knife was found on the floor close to the bed.
The body was removed and deposited at the West Gonja District Hospital awaiting autopsy
“I report with deep sorrow the death of Const. Sandra Asiedu a policewoman stationed at Regional Headquarters in Damongo. It is suspected she was stabbed to death this night in her room in a rented apartment in Damongo.”
