Investigators investigating the death of Diego Maradona ordered a search of the home and office of his personal physician amid local news that they are now treating it as a potential case of culpable homicide.
Searches started on the morning of Sunday.
It is known that investigators behind the order, said to have been sanctioned by a judge, are seeking to decide whether the football legend was the victim of medical negligence.
Overnight claims that he had rowed with personal physician Leopoldo Luque in the days before he suffered heart failure last Wednesday followed the dramatic twist in the investigation into Maradona’s death.
Luque is at his home as the search is taking place on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
