MP’s do not have protocol recruitment into Armed Forces – Defence Minister

 

 

The Defence Minister, Mr Dominic Nitiwul has told Parliament that the Ghana Armed Forces have no protocol provisions for Members of Parliament’s(MP’s) or any other persons for recruitment into the service.

He explained that recruitment into Ghana Armed forces is based only on regional balance and special ten per cent reservation for women which in recent times has been reviewed to fifteen per cent as the basic laid down procedure and practices for recruiting Ghanaians into the institution.

The Defence Minister made these remarks when he was answering an urgent question filed by a member of Parliament for Adaklu, Kwame Agbodza Governs, asking from the minister, procedure and processes which are considered in recruiting people into the Armed Forces.
