National Tourism Destination single window project launched
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Ghana Tourism Authority have launched the National Tourism Destination Single Window Portal on Monday, 12th July at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra.
The consolidated portal which was launched by the Sector Minister, Hon. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Awal seeks to bring service operators and the general public into one marketplace to enhance service delivery.
Other dignitaries present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture, Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey, Deputy Minister of Communications and Digitization, Hon. Ama Pomaa Boateng, Chief Director of the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture, Mr. John Yao Agbeko, Chief Executive Officer of GTA, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, President of the Ghana Tourism Federation, Madam Bella Ahu, President of the Tour Operators Union of Ghana, Mrs. Alisa Osei Asamoah, Heads and staff of Agencies under the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture, Tourism Industry players, and other Stakeholders.
The project is aimed at tackling challenges in the tourism industry and is targeted at putting Ghana on the map, providing real-time data for policymakers and investors, and cut down on delays in registration and licensing of tourism enterprises.
The app version of the portal, Visit Ghana can be downloaded on the Play Store (Android) and Apple store (IOS). Already several service providers have signed up for the portal.
