“No Gov’t has improved Education infrastructure than President Akufo-Addo government- MP

The Chairman of the parliamentary select committee on education as part of their mandate to ensure a quality education system in the country has visited projects sites of ongoing infrastructure for Senior High Schools in some parts of the Eastern region.

Some of the project sites the committee visited include; Akyem Abomosu, Ofori Panin Senior High school, Oyoko Methodist Senior High school and Ghana National Senior High School.

Speaking to news reporters, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa North Constituency, Hon. Kwabena Amankwaa Asiamah revealed that no government after Dr Kwame Nkrumah has improved tremendously on Education infrastructure than this current Nana Akufo Addo’s government looking at the projects started and some completed across schools in the country which will go a long way to improve on Ghana’s education system.

Commenting on the work of contractors, he said some have done a perfect job whilst some lazy ones who don’t value government’s money have done shoddy works of which the committee is going to invite them to inquire what constituted for such horrible work and would be forced to correct them before the projects are handed over to the state.

A member of the parliamentary select committee on education who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ada constituency and also the 2nd Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah spoke to reporters and added that “so far so good” after their general observation on Education projects sites they’ve visited but the contractor on some projects must be invited by the committee to answer some questions and be forced to correct errors before they are handed over to the schools.
