Mr Jerry Agyeman Osei-Poku, Eastern Regional Director Youth Employment Agency has touted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the only government that has created more opportunities for Ghanaian youth than any other government.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”.
Speaking on some of the initiatives undertaken by the NPP government for the youth, he said, in the area of entrepreneurship, the government has given seed capital to over 1000 young entrepreneurs to develop and grow their business.
Mr Osei-Poku said the National Youth Authority across the country is constructing 10 new multipurpose stadiums, which can accommodate 25 disciplines and also has a resource centre where the youth can go and obtain training.
In the area of education, he stated that the government has extended the School feeding to most parts of the country and is looking to extend it to every basic school in the country.
Indicated that, the Free SHS introduced by the government is imparting knowledge to a chunk of the youth of this country who could not have access to senior high education due to financial issues.
Under the NPP government, he said scholarships are given to over 50,000 people every year, indicating the government’s commitment to prioritising both the current and future of this country.
‘’We should remind ourselves of the need to be more responsible as a youth, let’s try to stay within our means and learn new things to promote our lives instead of looking at dubious ways that will make us get rich quick ‘’ he cautioned.
