Officials for Hearts vs Liberty encounter charged for misconduct


Match Officials for Last Sunday’s, Week 33 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium between Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals have been charged for misconduct after late Kick-off.

Referee Obed Kwegyah Danquah and Match Commissioner, Onesimus Nii Adjiri Barnor have been charged with misconduct by the Prosecutor of the Association for delaying the start of the Premier League game between Accra Hearts of Oak SC and Liberty Professionals FC also dubbed as the “Accra Derby”

The GFA indicated before the start of the matchday that matches with the bearing of the winner of the league and demotion would be played on the same day and kick-off at exactly 3 pm.

Having been charged, Referee Obed Kwagyah Danquah and Match Commissioner Onesimus Nii Adjiri Barnor will file their defence and have the chance to appear before the GFA Disciplinary Committee.

Television Rightsholder, StarTimes as part of their plan to satisfy customers at this closing stage, both matches involving Hearts of Oak SC and Asante Kotoko SC were telecast simultaneously.
