Okoe Boye launches book on Korle Bu experience

The former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, on Thursday night, October 28, 2021, launched his book titled “The Mother in the Monster Calming the Storm at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital: Leadership at a Tough Terrain”.

The book is a recount of his experience as Board Chairman of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Present at the launch was First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, who noted that “Korle Bu is our premier teaching hospital, and how it functions has a significant impact on our health sector”.

“It is important that we all support Korle Bu to become a centre of excellence.”

“This was a consideration for the Rebecca Foundation when we decided to build the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and solicited the support of 1st Atlantic Bank to provide a shelter for visitors to Korle Bu”, she added.

Mrs. Akufo-Addo said it was “encouraging” to know that public officeholders have started to document their experiences, including the strategic decisions they took that can serve as guideposts for the future.
