The Special Prosecutor nominee, lawyer Kissi Agyabeng has told the appointment committee of Parliament that the fight against corruption will not come easy considering the culture and respect we have for the elderly and other related cultural practices.
Indicating that, however, his focus would be on the laws of the country to achieve his purpose.
He made these remarks when the Hon Member of Parliament for Techiman North, Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare asked how he was going to handle issues concerning our culture as Ghanaians as we give reverence to the elders and people in positions.
Lawyer Agyabeng further told the committee that, to handle corruption and its related issues, he would engage with Civil Society Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations, Community based Organisations and finally the Investigative Journalists for more information to execute his duties.
