Outraged sympathisers besiege OMESS over murder of final year student as police chase killers

Chairman of the Bekwai Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) Kwaku Kyei Baafour said that the police have already set out to bring the perpetrators to book to ensure justice and sanity in the area.

With less than one month to complete his WASSCE and, subsequently, complete Senior High School (SHS), Master Richard Kofi Appiah met his untimely death Saturday evening.

The 21-year old was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bekwai Government Hospital where he was rushed for medical attention.

“He was stabbed in a scuffle by unknown assailants Saturday night,” according to eyewitnesses who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The mother of the deceased, Florence Adomah, who couldn’t control her tears, told 3news that “she wants the culprits to be punished and I want the police to work hard and bring them to book. All I’m seeking for is justice”.

Madam Florence is demanding for immediate arrest of persons involved in the killing of her son.

Residents of nearby Adwumam in the Bosomtwe District, where the deceased come from, reportedly besieged the Oppong Memorial Senior High School (OMESS) to demand answers from school authorities on the death of the student.
