A young and dynamic man, Minister Debrah Samuel has entered the gospel music scene with a debut single titled “Aket3 me t3”.
The 25-year-old native of Akuapem-Adukrom the Okere District Capital in the Eastern Region has crafted the lyrics of his song in the Rich Okere language and further explained in Akan and Ga in subsequent stanzas.
“Aket3 me t3” which literally means “he holds me” gives glorification to God Almighty for his goodness and mercy towards mankind without us reciprocating any form of Gratitude.
Paa Kay Jnr as he’s popularly called in the showbiz industry is a man of many parts who combines song ministration with the work of God.
“I sing to inspire, I sing to the exhortation of God, I sing to rescue the perishing and want my native language properly captured on the National musical map of Ghana” he stated.
Paa Kay Jnr who is also a powerful worship leader has featured on a lot of the live worship shows on Radio in Accra and other parts of the Country. “Aket3 me t3” upon its release a few weeks ago has received a lot of airplay in the Greater Accra and the Eastern Regions.
It is also the most popular song in the Okere District as it is heard singing in Churches and played at social programs like parties and funerals.
Paa Kay is optimistic that his music will cross borders and bring glory to the name of God, “music is a universal language, I’m very amazed by the response I’m receiving both home and abroad, and I pray it touches the brokenhearted, heal the sick and save the lost”, I’m proud of Okere and I can assure my people of more songs in our native language.
