The Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) members of the Presbyterian Women’s College of Education (PWCE), Aburi, have been tasked to preach and spread the good works of President Akufo Addo led government, Hon. Osei Bonsu Amoah, the MP, Akuapem South Constituency has said.
The members were also encouraged to be loyal, supportive, and committed to the New Patriotic Party towards making the Government popular as well as successful.
Delivering a message at a colorful and well-attended handing over and swearing-in ceremony of executives of PWCE, TESCON at Aburi, the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development also commended the visibly excited students for their commitment and loyalty to NPP and President Akufo Addo.
The Hon MP advised the TESCON ladies and the youth to appreciate the investment made in educating them through the Free Senior High School policy and the restoration of allowances at the College of Education level.
He encouraged them to go all out to defend and protect the legacy of NPP and the government of President Akufo-Addo, indicating that major policies have been initiated by the President in the past four years which are for the permanent benefit of the youth and the country.
The students were told to be focused, charged to work hard, and have a winning mentality to assist the NPP in subsequent elections.
On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive for the Akuapem South Municipality, Hon. Frank Aidoo told the ladies to spread the good news by constituting themselves into an information army which will also counter any misinformation, especially on social media.
The TESCON executives pledged to work exceptionally well to maintain the dominance of NPP at every level.
A fundraising effort yielded GHc 15,000 for the outreach and campaign of the group, while a patron of the group, the Vice Principal of the College was honored with a citation and cash for his commitment.
In attendance were Constituency and Regional Officers of the Party.
