Mr David Prah, the Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said the social intervention programs and infrastructural projects initiated by the Nana Addo led government will break the 8-year circle for the NPP.

‘’By the grace of God if you see the kind of work Nana Addo has done in the country by initiating the Free Senior High School(SHS), 1D1F, planting for food and jobs, and other infrastructural development projects will propel the party to recapture the seat in 2024’’ he stated.

He said this in an interview on Freedom Radio’s ‘’Yen Man’’ show hosted by Kwaku Aboagye Apenteng when he was interviewed on the ongoing delegates conference in constituencies in the region.

However, Mr Prah noted that in breaking the 8-year circle there was the need to reorganise, strategise and restructure as a political party to be able to capture power again.

He explained that the party lost some constituencies which ideally they should not have lost due to division among party members, indicating that it was not going to happen again.

Citing an example, he said at Ayensuano Constituency, the Independent candidate garnered over 1000 votes, meanwhile, the NPP parliamentary candidate, Mr Ayeh Paye lost by over 300 votes.

He indicated some of the NPP candidates went independent because they believe some party leaders did not treat them well.

He explained that the party has streamlined the various constituencies with regards to the delegates conferences and all covid 19 protocols will be adhered to.
