RTU back in the GHPL after dramatic last day in Division 1 League


Real Tamale United are back in the Ghana Premier League after a dramatic final day in the Division One League.

RTU went into the last day 2 points behind Tano Bofoakwa, needing a win while hoping Bofoakwa Tano failed to beat Berekum Arsenal away.

That was exactly what happened. RTU beat Unity FC 2-0 and Bofo drew 0-0 with Arsenal, earning RTU a place in the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 10 years.

RTU will join Bibiani GoldStars and Accra Lions as the three promoted teams in the Ghana Premier League next season.
