Water Resources Minister promises water supply to 5.7million Ghanaians by 2023

The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR), Mrs Cecilia Abena Dapaah has said water supply to 5.7 million Ghanaians will soon be achieved in 2023.

The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR), Mrs Cecilia Abena Dapaah has said water supply to 5.7 million Ghanaians will soon be achieved in 2023.

She said these included water projects in Keta, Damongo, Tamale Water, Sekondi, Wenchi, Yendi and Sunyani.

That is why I am proud to say that the government is on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 for water and sanitation,” she said.

The Sanitation and Water Resources interacted with the press during a working visit to the Keta Water Supply System in Keta in the Volta Region on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

She inspected the progress of work at the Keta water project.

According to her, the Keta water project was taken to Cabinet by the Ministry and then Parliament gave its approval which finally saw President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also gave his consent.

“Value for money was done.
