Hon. Amoah was the deputy Youth and Sports Minister for Ghana when The Black Stars qualified for their first-ever World Cup in Germany in 2006, one of the greatest achievements in the Nations Football History.

The Member of Parliament for Akuapim South in an interview with Kwaku Aboagye Appenteng on Freedom Radio (YƐN MAN Morning Show) said: “The Black Stars will qualify for the World Cup, We have two games to play in the Group. The Ethiopia game away we will not lose and South Africa we are winning at home then we will go top of the table”

“The team is stabilizing under the new directives and there is no reason Ghana shouldn’t be at the World Cup. We started in 2006 then Participated in 2010 and 2014 before missing out in 2018. We are going back to the World Cup in Qatar” he added.

The Black Stars had a slow start to their campaign with a 1 -0 victory over Ethiopia in Cape Coast before suffering an avoidable 1-0 defeat to South Africa. The Bafana Bafana of South Africa tops Group G with only a point separating them and Black Stars with two games to go.
