‘’We were well prepared before Bird Flu outbreak’’- Akro Farms

Mr Benjamin Owiredu, Managing Consultant of Akro Farms has said his outfit hadbeforevanced preparation before the outbreak of the Bird Flu in parts of the country.
According to him, due to technology that they have resorted to at their farm, before the bird flu outbreak they had initiated some measures to stop any sicknesses that affected fowls.

‘’When we heard about the outbreak all we did was to reinforce our measures at the farms to ensure that all procedures relating to poultry production were adhered to.
He made this revelation in an interview with Kwaku Aboagye Apenteng on Freedom Radio’s ‘’ Yen Man’’ show.
Mr Owiredu said his outfit has had various interactions with veterinary service officers who have given them guidelines as to what to do when they notice any health issues related to fowls.
He advised poultry farmers and potential poultry farmers to seek knowledge on the profession and learn more about the industry so that they can understand the dangers and possible ways to can diseases when there is an outbreak.
