The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey has disclosed in a statement that, the COVID-19 safety protocols have to be reinforced to help manage the spike that has occurred in recent times.
The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey has disclosed in a statement that, the COVID-19 safety protocols have to be reinforced to help manage the spike that has occurred in recent times.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Regional Security Council, the safety protocols which were stated at the earlier parts of the global pandemic need to be followed again, especially amongst residents of Accra.
He mentioned in the statement that, there should be mandatory adherence to all COVID-19 Safety protocols at all events at all times to ensure strict compliance.
Also, all Security Councils in the various Assemblies should embark on routine checks at public places at all times.
He added that all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies should collaborate with their respective Police Commanders and other security apparatus in ensuring that all activities associated with funerals are held in open-air spaces and should not exceed a duration of two (2) hours.
Accra has recorded not less than 1,000 coronavirus-infected cases.
